Do we believers have to confess our sin to be cleansed?

I haven’t confessed a single sin all year, since my Grace revelation, and I am closer to God than ever.

He hasn’t left me, convicted me, or anything, only poured out His love on me.
We know ‘confess’ only means ‘say the same’ and repentance is a turning of devotion towards ourselves and our sin back towards God – which happens in our hearts.
No verbal confession, prayer or anything is needed to ‘bring us back into right standing with God’ as traditional ‘churches’ have been teaching.
It simply isn’t true that we must continually confess our sin to be cleansed.
We were cleansed once for all on the cross.
